A/W Want List

My heart skips a little beat when I see the A/W collection emails flooding my inbox! It's something about the layering, textured fabrics and just dalm warm clothes that gives me tingles inside!! This year, I've decided to try and keep my want list (cough) dare I say small... Some of the 'wants' i've not yet found but am consistantly on the prowl, for now though, a taster of what my A/W wardrobe will look like (pending payday!!)

A winter style Kimono... I loved them in summer and i'll love them in Winter!!

Wooly leggings teamed with some black leather high boots...yummy!

Shaggy much?! I heart!!

Still searching the streets of London for some velour leggings, black high leg boots and a staple winter coat!!

It's all just Peachy!!

I'm not really a big make up gal but I couldn't stop myself when I came across this peachy lippy.... Inglot 4.2! It's just perfect for brightning up any outfit during the summer months and let's not lie, i'm already hooked and I've had it less then a week!

Festival must....along with wellies of course!!

The Lazy Shopper!!

Now I love shopping, it's quite possible one of my all time favourite ways to spend a day but this toy that I came across online is pure genius!! Essentially, Topshop haven are turning shopping into a lazy version of the Sims!!

The basic dynamics are that now you don’t have to actually try on any item clothing, you can just hold the AR code close to your body and a machine will do all the fantasizing for you.

It saves loads of time at least enough to fit in an extra coffee! Quite possibly in ten years time boys fitting rooms will have JUST these...you know for the lazy shoppers!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

So it's that time of year again where I sigh and admit that yes i'm getting a little older! I generally quite enjoy my birthday though, not the getting old part but the celebration part...hell yeah... and this year is not that different! As with all things yucky and recession related many of my bessies have popped across the pond for work BUT given that my birthday falls around Easter they are all home! Sooo let the games begin...

Anyway, for every party there has to be a wopper party outfit and I have to say, this years tops them all!! The past 23 outfits that is! Amazing designer (and amazing friend!) Amy Mcalindan has donated a dress to the 'Megan Party Cause' and I just can't contain my excitement! It's a mix between sleek and sexy but with a rocker twist...

Oh and don't worry...photos from the night to follow!!

Oh Sooo Sexy Tooth Gap??

Fashion is a world of wonders: some unbelievably wonderful and some...em not so wonderful! This statement has been further cemented in the latest trend to take to the streets of London. Models and fashionistas alike are now rocking a gap in their front teeth as if it's some sort of sexy look. Cough! I know that we are all influenced by the media but ladies...seriously?!

The stunning Georgia May Jagger is one of the models of which I'm referring but at least we know her gap is real. For years this beauty has rocked this gap with her so call Jagger swagger and we still love her. Yes I think fashion models look stunning with their little quirks but for the rest us, it's just plain disturbing to know that people are making gaps in their teeth!

DIT Student Design Awards

Last week the semi finals for the DIT Alfa Romeo Student Design awards were held in the Morrisons Hotel in Dublin. The show was bursting with outstanding talent but one design in particular caught my attention...

Amy McAlindin's design 'For the Birds' was a unique eye catching interpretation of the fashion show brief 'A Bad Romance.' The medley of fabrics and stitching patterns told the story of 'a broken heart, evil revenge and a curse on young love.' The design was immaculately pieced together, down to the talon inspired shoes. The dress and jacket were embellished with hundreds of beads which made the design sparkle on the catwalk. It was quite literally one of the most striking pieces of art I have seen, don’t think this will be the last we hear of this budding designer...

Best of Luck in the final Amy!!
